Most of us could use a resurrection from time to time. «En trøstes honningkage for min høibedrøved’ sjel»
is a gathering of Norwegian folk tunes, moonsongs, and words from Thomas Kingos baroque psalms. Thomas Kingo’s (1634-1703) work is saturated with a misery full of exclamation points and dark skies. But as is often the case, the sun eventually breaks though the coal black clouds.
Music and production: Emilie de Rohan Birkeland
Artwork: Emilie de Rohan Birkeland
Mastered by Adam Badí Donoval.
Released on Breton Cassette 2022 with support by Arts Council Norway.
